Nabarangpur: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted raids at the residence and five other places belonging to a State Government employee here in Odisha in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
The accused has been identified as Nilambar Satapathy, a resident of Gulipatna area of Umerkote town in the district. Currently, he is posted as the Managing Director of LAMPCS, Nabarangpur.
The vigilance team conducted raid simultaneously at his multi-storeyed residence and office in the district headquarter as well as four other buildings and a private-run school building at Umerkote town in the district, said Nabarangpur Vigilance DSP Pramod Bagh.
Total assets disproportionate to Satapathy’s known sources of income were yet to be unearthed as vigilance raids were underway, till the report was filed.
In another case, vigilance officials conducted simultaneous raids at various places belonging to Saroj Kumar Rath , Asst. Executive Engineer, RWS&S, Padmapur Subdivision in Sambalpur district, in connection with a disproportionate asset (DA) case.
