Kendrapara: Marshaghai police on Monday took the notorious gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito on a one-day remand for interrogation in a 2015 murder case.
The Kendrapara Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court granted permission to take the 56-year old gangster on remand in connection with Raj Kishore Behera murder case.
On April 24, 2015, Raj Kishore Behera was allegedly killed on Paika river embankment near Tikhiri village under Marshaghai police limits by Tito’s gang members.
The notorious gangster was earlier taken to remand Crime Branch’s Special Task Force (STF) and Kendrapara town police since his arrest on June 30 after an encounter near Chandikhole in Jajpur district.
