Maoist posters issuing ‘death warrant’ against 5 villagers surface in Koraput

Koraput: Maoist posters issuing ‘death warrants’ against five persons alleging their involvement in anti-people activities surfaced under Boipariguda police limits in the district on Saturday.

The posters released in the name of Malkangiri Koraput Vishakhapatnam Border (MKVB) committee of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) group, was spotted by some residents in Dandibadi village in the morning. Put up on the walls, these red-posters named Anand Nayak from Ratakhand, Pulo Nayak, Lokiram Barik and Suri Barik from Dandabadi along with Kobirajkara from Majhiguda and dubbed them as accused who would be punished in the ‘Praja Court’ soon.

“Naveen Government is destroying Odisha in the name of development. The fruits of growth are not reaching the widest possible group of people, it is restricted to ministers, babus and elites only,” read the posters.

The Maoists have appealed people to join the movement against this false development in large numbers through the posters.
