KISS to begin ‘Kanya Kiran’ Campaign for safety of Women & Girl Children

Bhubaneswar: In view of the rising crime against women and girls in the state, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in association with UN-Women is all set to launch ‘Kanya Kiran’ campaign for the safety of the female fraternity.

The campaign will be flagged-off at 8 AM from KIIT Convention Centre (Campus-6) in the presence of Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Kumar Patasani, Bhubaneswar MLA (North) Priyadarshi Mishra, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Sahoo, Police Commissioner Y. B. Khurania, Chairperson of State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Sandhyabati Pradhan and other dignitaries.

Every district of the state will be covered during the awareness drive. Employees of KISS and KIIT will be engaged in the task. They will sensitise the children, their parents and general public about the social evil.
