New Delhi: Kandhamal’s famous twins Jaga-Balia are likely to be shifted to Odisha from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) soon.

If sources at the hospital are to be believed, Balia will be shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack between February 15 and 22 while Jaga will be sent to his house. However, their parents – Pushpanjali Kanhara and Bhuiya Kanhara are worried over this. They claimed that the health condition of their sons are improving gradually and still has to improve further.

In comparison to Balia, Jaga has improved significantly; however, both of them should be kept for some more months in AIIMS, they said.

Expressing their anxiety if utmost care can be taken and the provided diet can be maintained in SCB Hospital, the Kanhara family requested Odisha government to ask the AIIMS authorities to keep Jaga-Balia in the hospital for some more months until they are fully fit to be shifted.

Notably, the twins, who were conjoined at their heads, are undergoing treatment in AIIMS, Delhi, post their two phases of separation surgeries. The first phase operation was conducted on August 28, 2017 while the second phase surgery was conducted on October 25.
