Bhubaneswar: The curtains on Hockey World League Final will come to a close on Sunday with World Number 1 Argentina and World Number 2 Australia taking on against each other. For the bronze medal match, India will be playing against Germany.

Playing their semi-final match, Australia overcame stern resistance from Germany to emerge with a 3-0 win to maintain their hopes of defending the Hockey World League title that they won in Lucknow in 2015.

Earlier in the day, Belgium’s Red Lions ended their Hockey World League Final campaign on a positive note with a 1-0 victory over Spain to claim a fifth place finish in the competition.

Hosts India will face Germany today, which is missing five players in the squad (four ill and one injured). In the last edition of the tournament in 2015, India had bagged gold.
