Jharsuguda: People were left in a state of panic in Kanaktora village under Rengali police limits in Jharsuguda district on Friday after a roadside eatery owner was found dead under mysterious conditions.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Sahoo, owner of the roadside eatery known as ‘Babudera Dhaba’.
Sahoo, who ran his roadside eatery near Kanaktora village under Lakhanpur block for last couple of years, went to bed last night after closing his shop but was found in a pool of blood this morning. The victim’s wife who reached the shop to deliver breakfast to him spotted him dead first.
From the circumstantial evidences it appears to be a case of murder as serious injury marks were seen on the face of the deceased which are apparently caused by stoning, said police.
The body of the deceased has been rushed for autopsy and an investigation is underway into the case.
