Bhubaneswar: A huge number of leaders and workers belonging to the Congress, BJP and other political parties from four Blocks of the Kotpad assembly constituency – Kundra, Kotpad, Boriguma and Boipariguda – of Koraput district joined the state ruling BJD on Sunday.
According to reports, led by Koraput district BJD president Ishwar Chandra Panigrahi they joined BJD in the presence of BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas this morning.
Speaking about their joining, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera said they decided to join the state ruling party as they have welcomed the development works carried out by the BJD government in their area.
