CM Naveen invites Fujian delegation to Make in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday invited  a business delegation of Fujian Province of China to the State’s flagship investigator meet –Make in Odisha Conclave, scheduled to be held in November this  year.

Earlier on the day, a six-member Fujian delegation led by HU Changsheng, Head of the organisation of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee) called on the Chief Minister at the State Secretariat here, seeking business ties with Odisha.

The Chief Minister welcomed the Chinese delegation and said that mineral resources rich Odisha is one of top three states of India in attracting live manufacturing investments.

Patnaik also highlighted the conducive business environment, infrastructure and skilled workforce of the State saying Odisha intends to facilitate growth in six key sectors namely, Food Processing, Electoronics manufacturing, Petro-Chemicals, Textiles, Metal Dowmstreams and Tourism.

The Chief Minister stated that a State delegation led by Odisha Industry Minister Anant Das will visit Fuzhou on August 31 this year to showcase the investment opportunities in Odisha to the Chinese industries. He also sought the support of Fujian Provincial Govt in this regard.

Industry Minister, senior bureaucrats were also present during today’s meeting.
