Centre nods for 2 more government medical colleges in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Union government has approved two new government medical colleges in Balasore and Balangir districts of Odisha. Union Health Minister JP Nadda informed this to Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a letter.

The two government medical colleges in Balasore and Balangir, having 100 seats each, will come up under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme, Nadda said.

The Union Health Minister further informed that his ministry has also approved confirmation of conditional permission issued to Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital in Baripada in academic year 2017-18 and renewal permission for admission of second batch at the college for the academic year 2018-19.
