CDMOs’ conference begins in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health Minister Pratap Jena inaugurated a two-day conference of the Chief District Medical Officers (CDMO) of the state here on Thursday.

While addressing the CDMOs, Jena asked them to work with full dedication and help the poor people to get benefit of the health programmes launched by the state government.

He laid focus on the four health care programmes namely ‘Aama Clinic Yojana’, ‘NIDAAN Yojana’, ‘ANMOL Yojana’ and ‘SAHAY’ which were launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on December 19, 2017.

Sources said that discussion on Rubella vaccination will be held during the two-day conference. Odisha government has decided to begin the Rubella vaccination across the state on January 29.

As many as 1.25 crore children from age group of 9 month-year-old to 15-year-old will be administered the vaccine that protects against three diseases: measles, mumps, and rubella.
