Bhuabaneswar: People were left in a state of panic in IRC Village area in the city this morning after dead body of a man was found lying in a pool of blood under suspicious circumstances from a government high school playground.
The incident came to light after some locals spotted the body in the morning and called up Nayapalli Police to intimate the matter.
A team of Nayapalli Police which reached the spot later in the morning found grievous injury marks on the body of the deceased pointing at a foul play. A stone along with a number of drinking water pouches were also found by the side of the body.
While Nayapalli Police is awaiting the autopsy report of the victim to decide its next course of action, it suspects from the prima facie evidence that the victim has been murdered.
