Sambalpur: Police today arrested the husband of the woman who was found dead inside a locked house in Modipada area under Town police limits in the district on Friday.
The accused has been identified as Jyotish Topno, a resident of Kansara village under Jujumara police limits in Sambalpur.
Some neighbours of the victim called up after they found foul smell was coming from the house. Police later reached the spot and broke open the door of the house in the presence of a magistrate. Police found the decomposed body of the victim.
Police claimed that the accused has confessed of killing his wife over family feud. “ We are further interrogating him to ascertain the sequence of events leading to the murder,” said a police official.
