Sonepur: At least two youths were killed after a bike they were traveling on was hit by a 10-wheeler lorry truck at Badmal Chhak on Sonepur-Sambalpur Road in the district last night.
The deceased have been identified as Prabhat Dharua and Sushant Seth of Saipali village under Bijepur Police Station area in Bargarh district.
As per the report, the victim duo was returning after some work from Sambalpur late in the night when the lorry truck mowed them down from behind. Both the victims sustained critical injury in the crash.
Hikudi Police admitted the injured duo to Ulunda Hospital later in the night, where doctors declared them brought dead.
Police have also seized the bodies for autopsy and arrested the accused driver involved in the incident.
