Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre here issued thunderstorm alert for 12 districts including Sundergarh of the state till 6 PM today.
Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Nayagarh and Puri are the 12 districts where thunderstorm is likely to occur.
The weather department has asked the residents of these districts to take precautions during the adverse weather conditions and avoid going out as gusty surface wind speed reaching up to 50 to 60 kmph is likely to occur in these districts.
