Cuttack: At least two persons were hurt and one of them turned critical later after an unidentified vehicle hit a moped and a cycle on NH-55 near Choudwar on Friday.
The identification of the victims could be made so far.
As per the report, the victim duo was returning home after some work in Manguli area this morning when the mishap took place. While crossing the Nuntikiri-Gandhanadi bridge on their vehicles, driver of a speeding unidentified vehicle lost control over the wheels and struck them from behind before driving away towards Choudwar.
The injured duo sustained critical head and chest injury in the crash and bled profusely on the spot.
They were later rushed to SCB Medical in Cuttack by Choudwar police where one of them turned critical.
Police have started investigation in the case and are trying to trace the truck involved in the crash.
