Pune Supergiant end Mumbai Indians’ Winning Streak in IPL 2017

The Mumbai Indians continue to lead the points table in IPL 2017, but tasted defeat tonight against the RPS after six consecutive wins.

The Rising Pune Supergiants proved to be hot for Mumbai Indians in today’s match. The RPS posted 160/6 in 20 overs. Rahane (38) and Rahul Tripathi (45) were the top scorers. Karn Sharma & Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets each.

Skipper Rohit Sharma led the run chase after the loss of quick wickets, but he faltered at the last hurdle and Mumbai lost the match by 3 runs in a cliffhanger. Mumbai Indians finished at 157/8 in 20 overs.

Rohit Sharma made 58, while Parthiv Patel scored 33. For RPS, Unadkat and Stokes took two wickets each. Ben Stokes was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’.
