Odisha girl Pyari scores twice as India beat Malaysia in football

Indian-Womens-football-teamKuala Lumpur: Odisha girl Pyari Xaxa scored twice as India won an international women’s football match against Malaysia  2-0 here on Monday.

After a goal-less first half, Pyari scored in the 79th and the 86th minutes of the match played at the MP Selayang Stadium.

Head Coach Maymol Rocky brought Pyari in as a substitute in the second half of the match, and her double strike sealed the match for India.

India’s dominance was complete throughout the match, except for a brief spell in the second half. The women in blue attacked from the wings as well as down the middle to put unrelenting pressure on the Malaysian defence.
