Kolkata Knight Riders win Eliminator in IPL 10

Skipper Gautam Gambhir led from front as Kolkata Knight Riders overpowered defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad to register a seven-wicket win in the rain-hit eliminator clash at Bengaluru on Thursday.

KKR, who opt to field first against SRH, restricted them to a lowly 128/7. As rain halted play, the revised target was 48 from 6 overs under D/L method.

In reply, KKR lost three wickets with just 12 runs on board. It was then, skipper Gautam Gambhir who shouldered the responsibility and scored unbeaten 32 runs in 19 balls. KKR reached 48/3 in 5.2 overs and won the match by 7 wickets.

Nathan Coulter-Nile was adjudged as the Player of the Match. KKR will next take on Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 2 on May 19.
