IPL 10: KKR beat RCB; Gujarat Lions prevail over KXIP

The Kolkata Knight Riders defeated a depleted Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets to register their 8th win this season and comfortably placed at No. 2 spot.

Batting first, RCB posted 158/6 in 20 overs. Mandeep Singh 52 and Travis Head 75* were the top scorers. Umesh Yadav took 3 wickets while Sunil Narine took 2 wickets.

KKR reached the target (159/4) in 15.1 overs to win the match by 6 wickets. Chris Lynn 50 and Sunil Narine 54 were the top scorers. Pawan Negi took 2 wickets for RCB. Sunil Narine was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’ for his all-round performance.

In the second match, it was a heartbreak for Hashim Amla. He has scored two hundreds in IPL 10. And, his team ended up on the losing side on both occasions. Gujarat Lions beat KXIP by 6 wickets.

Kings XI Punjab had posted 189/3 in 20 overs. Hashim Amla 104 and Shaun Marsh 58 were the top scorers.

Dwayne Smith led the charge for Gujarat Lions with his 74 off 39 balls. Suresh Raina 39 and Dinesh Karthik 35 were the other batsmen who helped him reach 192/4 in 19.4 overs and won by six wickets. Dwayne Smith was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’.
