Bhadrak: A youth was beaten black and blue by a woman in full public view after he was caught after entering her house and making sexual advances at Paikasahi village under Marine police limits in the district on Monday.
The accused, engaged as a fishing boat labourer in Dhamara Port and a resident of Balasore, allegedly entered into the house of the victim woman after breaking open the door late last night. Later on, he tried to molest the victim who was asleep in her room. As the woman resisted, the accused made a failed attempt to strangulate her and fled the spot before hiding behind the house.
The accused was caught up by villagers this morning and was tied to a pole. He was brutally roughed up by the victim woman, later on.
While Marine Police intervened in the matter and freed the youth from the clutches of the villagers, the victim woman has claimed that he made a similar attempt on November 4 and had managed to escape.
