Jagatsinghpur: Rape cases continue to be unabated in Odisha with fresh such incident surfacing in Jagatsinghpur district where a five-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by two minor boys on Wednesday night.
Briefing about the incident, Jagatsinghpur SDPO Sujogya Mishra said, “A five to six year old girl along with her parents leveled allegation on two minor boys aged 11 and 15 of sexually abusing her yesterday night. When we questioned the girl about the matter, she also admitted that she has been raped by the boys. The girl along with the boys has been sent for medical test now. A case has been lodged in Jagatsinghpur police station and further investigation is on.”
The incident has been reported a day after Odisha DGP Rajendra Prasad Sharma termed the sexual assault cases on minor girls in the state as extremely disturbing and shameful for any civilized society.
