Kantabanji: Tension ran high in Kapani village under Belpara police limits in Balangir district on Monday after a woman was found asphyxiated along with her two children at her house.
The deceased have been identified as Sunita Rana, son Lokesh and daughter Lipsa.
The incident took place in the morning while Sunita’s husband Bhikari was out of home to collect firewood. After returning home he found the trio hanging from the ceiling of the house by ropes. He immediately called up Belpara Police and intimated the matter.
While police have rushed the body for autopsy after reaching the spot, they suspect it to be a case of self-killing over family feud. The circumstantial evidences also point at suicide, said an official.
