Bhubaneswar, Apr 07: A woman was killed over alleged love affair in Salia Sahi slum in the capital city here late on Thursday night.
According to reports, one Subhadra Pradhan had a quarrel with Madhab and Santosh of the area yesterday evening. Later, the duo allegedly killed Pradhan by strangulating her throat in the night while she was asleep.
Though the exact reason behind Pradhan’s fight with the duo and her murder is yet to be ascertained, sources said, she was murder for having love affair with a man.
Nayapalli police rushed to the spot after getting information and sent the body for postmortem.
Police have started a manhunt to nab Madhab and Santosh who are absconding after committing the crime.
Sources at the police station said, there are more than ten criminal cases pending against Madhab in Nayapalli police station.
