Cuttack: In a ghastly incident, a woman allegedly beat her husband to death at Ramachandi village under Banki police limits of the district late on Tuesday night.
According to sources, one Kusum Sahu beat her husband Gajendra Sahu to death over family dispute.
After getting information from Chagala Sahu, nephew of Gajendra, Banki police arrived in the village and detained Kusum.
Police are interrogating her to extract more information from her over the crime.
“We received a call from Chagala Sahu, the nephew of the deceased Gajendra Sahu over the incident. We have detained Gajendra’s wife Kusum and interrogating her to find out the cause of the crime. She will be forwarded to the court later today,” said sources at the police station.
Meanwhile, Gajendra’s body has been sent to the Banki hospital for postmortem.
