Puri, Apr 03: Carcass of another whale measuring around 32 feet long was found on Puri beach for the second time in 45 days here on Monday.
According to reports, the dead sea mammal was found near Pantha Niwas.
Though the exact reason behind the death of the whale is yet to be known, it is suspected that the mammal might have died after being hit by either a ship or a vessel in the deep sea and was washed ashore due to heavy current of the sea.
On being informed, forest officials reached the spot and recovered the carcass of the marine mammal.
Sources said, the dead whale will be buried after autopsy.
Meanwhile, a huge crowd gathered on the spot to see the dead giant mammal.
Earlier on February 16, the carcass of a 40 feet long whale was found at Balukhanda beach in Puri.
