Cuttack: Odisha Crime Branch on Monday decided to probe the wedding gift explosion case which had claimed lives of two persons including a groom at Patnagarh in Balangir district on February 23.

According to sources, the Balangir district police has been directed to submit all the probe report to the Crime Branch which will carry out its probe into the matter.

Notably, one Soumyasekhar Sahu (groom) and his grandmother Jenamani were killed in their Patnagarh home in the district when the parcel bomb wrapped as wedding gift exploded. While probing the matter the cops had found out that the parcel was sent from Raipur of neighboring Chhattisgarh by one R.K Sharma through Skyking courier services. However, the police failed to trace the killer parcel sender.
