Cuttack: Acting tough on the history-sheeters in the city, Commissionerate Police today arrested dreaded criminal Pinaki Barik aka Khokan from the Link Road area after an encounter.
Police raided the Santosh petrol pump located near Link Road in the early morning today after getting specific information on Khokan’s whereabouts. During the raid an exchange of fire took place between both the sides in which the criminal sustained bullet injury on his right leg and was held afterwards. He was rushed to SCB medical for treatment.
A pistol along with a stock of live bullets were also seized from the possession of the criminal.
Commissionerate Police informed, Khokan was on their radar since his involvement in a series bomb hurling incident at Badambadi area during Durga Puja celebration this year. He was trying to carry out more similar attacks in the area and was on the run.
