As per the report, some unidentified persons removed the DG of the BSNL tower located in Birol six to seven months ago and transported it out by a Bolero pick-up van impersonating as telecom staff. However, at a later stage it came to notice that the DG had been stolen.

Following the theft report, Janakalyana Jubaka Sangha, a village based youth association took the initiative and traced the DG which was being provided to separate parties on rent in a neighbouring village by the culprits. A team of Tangi police seized the DG with the help of the youth association members conducting a raid in Gopinathpur village yesterday.
