Rayagada/Balangir: Vigilance officials on Saturday conducted simultaneous raids at four places belonging to Gunupur Excise Inspector Lalitmohan Mishra based on allegations of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
A three-member team raided Mishra’s office and rented house in Gunupur, his father-in-law’s house in Patnagarh and parental house at Bhutiarbahal in Balangir district.
Search was also conducted at his two-storey-house at Adarshpada.
According to Vigilance sources, Rs 5000 was seized from the Excise Inspector’s house in Gunupur and his total assets would be known after the completion of the raids.
