Puri: Odisha Vigilance sleuths arrested Village-Level Worker (VLW) of Algum Panchayat under Satyabadi block of the district on Saturday.
The accused VLW has been identified as Bhagwan Rath.
The anti-corruption team arrested Rath while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from one Niranjan Biswal. The VLW had demanded the cash to include names of Biswal and his family members in the socio economic caste census (SECC) list.
Sources in the Vigilance department informed that the accused VLW will be forwarded to the court later today.
