Soro: Veteran comic actor of Odia movie industry Sarat Mohanty passed away at a private hospital here on Saturday night. He was 88.
The iconic actor was suffering from age-related problems and had been admitted to the Soro Hospital for quite some time.
Mohanty who left a void in the Odia film industry with his death that can not be filled had worked in some of the classic movies like Stree, Ka, Mala Jahna, Puja Phula, Emiti Bi Hue, Amada Bata and Sakala Tirtha To Charane which performed well on the box office.
Fans, friends, well-wishers and family members have expressed their condolence on the great actor’s death and wished a heavenly abode for the departed soul.
