Bhubaneswar: In a unique way of creating awareness among the people on switching to vegetarian food and stopping cruelty against animals, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Animal Welfare Trust distributed roses to the people on the eve of the Valentine’s Day here on Tuesday.

PETA and Animal Welfare Trust distributed roses through their “Valentine Angel’ at Lower PMG Square here. The “Valentine Angel’, who was dressed in the colour of love with white wings and a placard that read “Have a Heart: Go Vegan”, distributed flowers and urged the people to have love, empathy and compassion for the animals.

Notably, PETA, the largest animal rights organisation in the world, has been a pioneer in spreading empathy and stopping cruelty to animals over the years.
