Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s teenage beauty Padmalaya Nanda, who brought laurels to the state as well the country by winning three titles in the Little Miss Universe-2017 beauty contest held in Batumi, Georgia recently, flew into the city on Wednesday.
The 12-year-old pride of Odisha was given a warm welcome on her arrival at the city airport.
Speaking exclusively to Kalinga TV, Nanda said, “I feel proud that I could represent the state and India and won three titles in the international pageant. I thank everyone, including the sponsors, especially KIIT and KISS, without whom, I could not have won the titles.”
The class VIII student of the Stewart School in Cuttack, won three titles – Little Miss Universe Internet title, Little Miss Universe Grand Prix and Little Miss Actress (Popularly known as Best Talent of the world) – in the Little Miss Universe competition.
Nanda was the lone Asian girl, who competed with 15 other beauties from across the globe and won the titles.
