Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological department here issued thunderstorm and lightning warning for seven districts of the state on Tuesday.
The weatherman has asked the people of Koraput, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Ganjam districts to be vigilant and shelter themselves in safe locations as thunderstorm and lightning accompanied with rain are likely to occur in these district till 6.30 PM today.
The latest Doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 50 to 60 kmph likely to occur over these districts.
