TathagatBhubaneswar: Dhenkanal MP Tathagat Satapathy, who was in the news for his twitter spat with Baijayant Panda a few months ago, sparked another flutter on social media today by criticizing the Central Government’s policy of promoting Hindi. In his tweet, Tathagat accused the Union Ministers of forcing Hindi on non-Hindi speaking states.

Taking to twitter, Tathagat wrote, “Why are Union Ministers forcing Hindi on non-Hindi speaking Indians? Is this an attack on other languages? –TS.”

Tathagat reportedly chose to react on the issue after he received an official letter from Union Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Narendra Singh Tomar dated August 11, 2017 to attend a district level ‘Indian vision 2022’ program to be held across the country from August 21-25 by the ministry.

Tathagat even posted a copy of Tomar’s letter on his twitter handle.

The Dhenakanl MP’s tweet got an overwhelming response from his followers, who kept egging him on to send a reply to Tomar in Odia.
