Swine Flu toll rises to 42 in Odisha

Swine FluCuttack: The Swine Flu death toll rose to 42 in Odisha this season with two fresh deaths reported from the SCB Medical College and Hospital here on Wednesday.

State Health Department sources said two more H1N1 positive patients, who were under treatment at the Swine Flu Special Ward in SCB, fell victim to the deadly influenza last evening.

Out of the 22 swab samples tested on Wednesday, six were found positive with the vector borne disease proving that all efforts by the government to bring the disease under control have failed so far.

Notably, a total of 1,111 samples sample have been tested in the state so far in suspicion of Swine Flu.
