Swine Flu death toll rises to 44 in Odisha

Swine FluBhubaneswar: Two more persons died in different hospitals in the capital city Bhubaneswar on Thursday taking the Swine Flu death toll in the state to 44.

The deaths were reported from the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital and Apollo Hospital.

Without revealing the identities of the victims, the hospital authorities confirmed that the deceased were under treatment for the last couple of days and their conditions started deteriorating last evening.

According to state health department sources, out of total 25 swabs tested for the H1N1 yesterday, 4 were found positive taking the total number of Swine Flu patients in the Odisha to 365. 1136 samples have been tested so far for the deadly disease.
