Balangir: Dreaded criminal Sushant Dhalasamanta was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital here after he fell sick this morning.
Dhalasamanta had resorted to a fast unto death agitation since he was shifted to Balangir district jail on March 30. He had began the agitation alleging that he was shifted from Jharpada jail in Bhubaneswar without any reason.
A team of doctors from Balangir hospital was conducting his health check-up regularly and had advised him to take food. However, Dhalasamanta continued his protest, following which he fell sick.
The Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Police had shifted Sushant to the Balangir jail due to security reasons.
