Subdued Tathagata Satpathy regrets “thieves” remarks

Tathagata Satpathy bares it all,Bhubaneswar: Under fire for calling some outgoing Ministers of Naveen Cabinet including Debi Mishra “thieves”, Dhenkanal MP Tathagata Satpathy had to eat humble pie and regret for his remarks.

After senior BJD leader Debi Mishra expressed deep anguish and pain over Tathagata’s loose talks and met CM Naveen Patnaik to apprise him of the development, Tathagata found himself on back foot.

CM Naveen disapproved the statement and asked Tathagata to explain, making the MP to post a tweet, “‪Regret shooting my mouth & hurting sentiments. Will try to improve my characteristic flaw”.‬

‪Tathagata has been under the scanner for going overboard while criticising his party leaders as well as rivals. He is expected to lie low following this latest development.‬
