‘Slide-up’ students get last chance for admission into Plus Three Bhubaneswar: The state government on Tuesday issued a fresh notification giving a last chance to the ‘slide-up’ students for admission into Plus Three courses across Odisha.

According to the letter issued by Higher Education department Joint Secretary B Parameswaram, students who had slid-up to higher option but not taken admission during the scheduled period will be allowed to take admission in the higher preference college where they were selected between October 6 and 7.

The students who have not applied online or taken admission in any of the colleges or even taken admission in a particular college but wish to continue in another college will be allowed to take admission between October 9 and 11.

The Higher Education Department has directed the college authorities to create more seats above the sanctioned strength for this academic year only if no vacancies exist to accommodate the ‘slide up’ students.

The notification further said that students are directed to go to the choice of their college and apply on offline mode. Admission will be done purely on merit basis as there will be no special weightage or reservation in this phase.

The students applying through online Common Application Form (CAF) can submit photocopy of their applicant copy and mark sheet.

The respective college authorities will display the merit list of the selected students on notice boards on October 11 and admission will be completed by October 14.
