Shah ends Odisha tour; claims BJP will form govt in 2019

Amit Shah in OdishaBhubaneswar : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national President Amit Shah left for New Delhi on Thursday evening after completing his three-day long Odisha tour.

On the last day of his Odisha visit, the BJP Chief attended the ‘Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’ programme at Basantpur village under Tikarapada Panchayat located near Dhauli on the outskirts of the Capital city. He was escorted to Basantpur village in a huge bike rally from the Daya River.

Thereafter, Shah attended a special meeting in Bhubaneswar and held discussions with Panchayat level representatives of the saffron party includeinformation BJP Zilla Parishad members, Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of various blocks, Sarpanches etc.

The BJP chief reiterated his claim made in Jajpur yesterday that the BJP would win at least 120 out of of the 147 Assembly seats in the and form the government with a two thirds majority in 2019.

“I visited around 400km on road in various parts of the state and saw the mood of the people. I am confident that the BJP will form the government in the state with two thirds majority in 2019,” said Saha while addressing party office bearers at a ‘Vistarak’ meeting in the afternoon.

Earlier in the morning, Shah offered floral tributes  at the statue of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee in the temple city of Odisha.

The BJP Chief visited different places in Ganjam and Jajpur district on the first and second day of his tour respectively and attended ‘Mo Booth Sabuthu Majboot’ programme , aiming to strengthen the saffron party at the grassroots level in the state ahead of the 2019 general elections.
