Berhampur: A youth was beaten-up black and blue by a gang of angry villagers for allegedly stalking a girl at Mundamarai village under Dharakote police limits in Ganjam district.
The youth who was identified as Parendra Sahu of Hinjilicut had allegedly passed some lewd comments on a girl at Mundamarai village following which some locals caught hold of him. Later, he was tied to an electric pole by some men while a group of women thrashed him with their sandals.
On being informed, Dharakote police rescued the youth. Though the incident had taken place five-days ago, it came to the light after somebody made the video of the incident viral on social media.
