Puri: Odisha DGP Rajendra Prasad Sharma held a review meeting over the security arrangements for the forthcoming Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings, here at the SP’s office on Tuesday.
“A review meeting on security arrangements from ‘Snana Purnima’ to ‘Bahuda Yatra’ was held today. During the meeting we discussed about the accommodation issues, logistic problems and communication related matters for the police officials who are to be deployed,” said Sharma while speaking to the newsmen post the meeting.
IG of Central Zone and IG Law & Order, Puri SP and several top-level cops were present at the meeting. Besides, other district-level and state government officials also attended the meeting.
Sharma will hold review meeting again after the rehearsal and force mobilisation.
