Rajdhani Express to run via Sambalpur soon

Rajdhani ExpressBhubaneswar: Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has confirmed that the Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express will run via Sambalpur very soon. The demand has been accepted by Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal after it was put forth by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during a meeting on Wednesday.

Earlier CM Naveen Patnaik had informed that he had received a positive reply from Piyush Goyal on this demand. The Odisha CM, who is on a six-day visit to New Delhi, also put forth several other demands of Odisha pertaining to capacity augmentation of various ongoing railway projects in the state during the meeting.

“Talks were also held on rolling out of Buxi Jagabandhu Express from Khurda Road to Mumbai via Sambalpur in addition to extension of Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express to Nayagarh town. Demands were also put forth to commence work for the Jeypore-Nabarangpur and Jeypore-Malkangiri tracks and introduction of Puri-Konark track along with and redevelop 11 railway stations in the state on an urgent basis,” CM said.
