Odisha to witness intense cold wave conditions till Dec 25

Bhubaneswar: The city-based meteorological department predicted that the weather will be dry in the next five days due to which intense cold wave conditions will continue till December 25 in Odisha.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department also predicted shallow to moderate fog at isolated places over Odisha during next two days.

The entire state shivered under intense cold with temperature dipping last night. According to a press release issued by the regional meteorological department, as many as 10 places witnessed mercury dropping below 10 degree Celsius last night.

While Phulbani recorded the minimum temperature of 5 degree Celsius, a thin layer of snowfall was found in Lamtaput area in Koraput district.

The minimum temperature in Odisha’s Kashmir-Daringbadi was recorded 5.5 degree Celsius, while Hirakud (7.9 degree Celsius), Koraput (8 degree Celsius), Bhawanipatna (8.5 degree Celsius), Sundargarh (9 degree Celsius), Sonepur (9.4 degree Celsius), Angul (9.6 degree Celsius) and Jharsuguda (9.8 degree Celsius) recorded low temperature as well.
