New Delhi: Odisha has topped the list of District Mineral Foundation (DMF) fund collection in the country. Besides Rs 8200 crore collection as mining fine, Odisha has reportedly collected Rs 3548 crore under DMF till November 2017, which is the highest in the country.
Chhattishgarh with Rs 2331 crore collection stood second, while Jharkhand grabbed the third spot by generating Rs 2314 crore fund under the DMF.
Notably, Union Cabinet Secretary Pradeep Kumar Sinha on December 13, 2017 had hailed Odisha government for the successful implementation of Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKY) by using the DMF funds.
