Odisha to being Robotic training in schools soon

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is mulling over the introduction of robotics training and education for the school students in a bid to inculcate scientific skill among them.

“We are planning to introduce a robotics programme to increase the scientific temper of the school students,” said School & Mass Education Secretary Pradipta Mohapatra while speaking to the newsmen.

“A Bengaluru-based company had offered a proposal to our Government after its tie-up with the Karnataka Government. They will be extending their reach in Odisha with implementing robotics training programme in Berhampur,” he added.

The students will also be given training on drone technology, said sources.

The course will be introduced in 10 Adarsha Vidyalayas (Model Schools) in different districts soon.

He further informed that, “We are planning to finalize a vendor for installation of CCTV cameras during the matriculation and Plus Two examinations from the next academic session.”
