Odisha police arrests 2 dreaded bank looters from Gaya

Angul: In a major breakthrough, Odisha’s Angul police arrested two dreaded bank robbers from Gaya on Tuesday. Police also seized 343 gram of gold, arms and ammunition from their possessions.

The arrested bank looters have been identified as Om Prakash Das and Rajesh Das of Gaya.

According to reports, Angul district police had formed special teams to investigate after armed robbers had looted cash and gold ornaments from Indian Bank at gun point on Saturday. This led to the arrest of Om Prakash and Rajesh.

During their interrogation, both of them confessed to have looted Indian Bank and Indian Overseas Bank in Angul.

Shocking, they also revealed to have committed total 13 bank dacoits in last 10 years.

They were produced before SDJM court at Sherggati in Gaya district, said sources.

Angul police has submitted production warrant and they will be brought to Odisha for further interrogation, added the sources.
