Odisha Govt Hikes DA For Employees

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Tuesday hiked the dearness allowance (DA) for its employees by 2 percent. The hike was announced after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved a proposal in this regard today.

The hiked DA will be implemented with retrospective effect from January 1, 2018. With the current hike the DA of the state employees will increase from 5 to 7 percent.

A press note released by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) also said that the Dearness Relief (TI) of the Odisha Government pensioners has also been hiked by 2 percent as per the revised rule.

The CMO press note stated that those retired employees of the state government, not entitled to pension as per the revised rule, will be benefited with 3 percent hike in their TI.
